Johanna Gullick is Vice President and the Southern California Market Manager for Union Bank’s Community Development Finance Division where she is responsible for overseeing all debt and tax credit equity originations in Southern California.
Johanna has more than 22 years experience promoting and developing affordable housing in the Southern California region as a private and public lender and developer and over 35 years of experience in the real estate and building industries as an architect, planner, and general contractor.
Prior to joining Union Bank in 2007, she served as Housing Development Director at Jamboree Housing Corporation where she oversaw real estate development, acquisition, and project finance activities. While at Jamboree, Johanna was responsible for the development of over 2,800 units of housing throughout California.
For more than 11 years, she worked at the City of Santa Monica’s Planning Department and Housing and Redevelopment Division and managed the City’s affordable housing loan programs. Johanna also worked with the City of Long Beach’s Housing Services Bureau where she spearheaded the financing and development of over 1,200 affordable rental units, securing funding through a variety of sources including government and private lender financing.
Earlier in his career, Johanna worked as an architect with several prominent firms in Los Angeles and was responsible for oversight of project coordination for large scale residential, commercial, and multi-use developments. Johanna began her career as a licensed general contractor and ran her own construction business for over ten years.
