07/15/08: Alberto Cano, 52, a resident of Elm Avenue apartments since 2000 was able to regain his same room after the remodeling of the building, show off his room that is furnished with a complete kitchen, bathroom, walk-in closet, bed, and dining table. The two-story brick building built in 1927 contains 17 furnished single-living rooms (225×350 sq. ft.) for low-income individuals. Currently their are two rooms available, but a ten year waiting list is already in existence.
